VAN LIFE REPAIR | WHERE TO GET A NEW TRANSMISSION FOR YOUR SPRINTER VAN
We recently had to replace our transmission on our 2006 dodge sprinter campervan conversion! When we learned of the failed transmission, we called around to 4 different places and determined where to get a new transmission for our sprinter– here are all the details! We ended up saving 00 by doing our research!

We hope this never happens to you, but if it does (or any other big repair bill comes) make sure to do your research!

What actually happened? Why did you have to replace transmission?

Did it go into limp mode? I recently bought a high-mileage '04. I won't be taking it anywhere without the C3 clone I bought. These vans are awesome when they're running, but they can also be a money pit if you don't know the exact reason why they are acting up. I've seen transmissions replaced when a simple fix (ranging between $2-200) was all that was needed.

I live in Milwaukee and actually saw you pulling to the side of the freeway with your sprinter just outside of downtown mke. I had a short bus I just sold and I actually just picked up my first sprinter about two weeks ago! A 2005 with 300k I am having slight shift hesitation issues which seem to be related to the 13pin connector out of the valve body conductor plate leaking atf fluid which then wicks up the wires to the TCM! Wild stuff anyways I was doing some trans research and just found this video! Sorry I couldn’t stop to help when I saw y’all pulling over as I was working! I definitely noticed that beautiful van and all the gear and said to myself someone is living out of that rig!
